Wine Tour


Some information about us.
The farmhouse "Il Greppo" is located south of Siena, near Montepulciano and other towns of historical interest such as Pienza, Cortona, Assisi, etc. This farmhouse, completely restored to a high standard, is set in the beautiful and unspoilt Tuscan countryside overlooking the surrounding hills with olive groves and vineyards.
There is a total of 60 hectares, 15 of vineyards, 2 of olive trees, 2 of wood and the rest is seminative vegetation.
The agriturismo have 3 houses with 15 apartments for a total of 55 bed places and a restaurant with 70 places and a beautifull garden in front of the cellar. Our guests can eat and drink in front a nice view.
To get a superior wine we start from the vineyard by using eco-compatible methods, trap-nests with pheromones, by thinning out the bunches, then we proceed in the cellar with a modern and innovative equipment.

Il Greppo produces 120.000 bottles of wine per year in different varieties Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC, Chianti DOCG, Vinsanto DOC, Grappa, Pecorino di Fossa, Honey and Jams

Where you can taste the products on sale, even for groups.

Wine tour and lunch proposal.

1-welcome and tour to the wine cellar. After the visit, it will be available a tasting of our wines and bruschette with oil.

2-welcome and tour to the wine cellar. After the visit, in the restaurant, it will be available a tasting of our wines and products: bruschette with oil, bruschette 2-3 varieties and salame.

first course: hand made pasta with ragù souce

appetiser: bruschette 2-3 varaities salame and cheese.
pasta: maccheroni with ragù souce and pici with tomato sauce
meat: meat with vegetables.
dessert: cantucci and vinsanto

wine 1/3 litre. per person, in different tipologies: withe, red, Nobile di Montepulciano docg, Chianti docg.
menu n. 3 - 4 and 5 minimum 20 person

Walking to the Tuscan village of Montepulciano which is considered the pearl of the sixteenth century, others that are part of the heritage of the 'UNESCO and tasting of wines, cheeses and other typical local walks in the countryside surrounded by vineyards and olive groves where painters past and present dazzled by the light in Tuscany is unique, as Michelangelo said, you feel part of a unique setting in which to enjoy and relax.
